About Me
I'm a James Beard nominated freelance food and travel writer with bylines in Travel + Leisure and Vogue. I got started in travel writing because I was scared of flying, so I wanted to figure out how to see the world via trains and ships.
From that starting point, I delved into North American Indigenous cuisine, food sovereignty in the Black community, recipe development, learning how to hunt, and even becoming a community medic.
Food and travel has become my deepest love, but I'm a generalist at heart, so I also write about Palestinian liberation for Mondoweiss, entertainment for outlets like Vox, relationships for Women's Health, and home decor for Apartment Therapy. My mind roams and I write where it goes.
I don't like sitting still, creatively or literally, so I'm always looking for the next assignment, the next thing I'm lucky enough to learn about, so get in touch and let's work together.
